"The Speaking Hand is a continuation of the work I did on Blow. Amplifier (2018). I wanted to expand my own musical vocabulary utilizing volume and reacting to the sounds reflecting around the room. I find that extreme volume and using several amplifiers at once makes me play in different way, because the sounds you make come back to you in unexpected ways. The sound that fills the room becomes another musician that you must react to."
